I’ve been wanting to visit the Carlsbad Flower Fields for as long as I can remember. Luckily, I was able to go on the last weekend they were open, which unfortunately was also Mother’s Day weekend. It was packed with people roaming around the field eagerly wanting to capture this beautiful scenery. I didn’t like that there were many areas that were restricted. We were only given a limited amount of space to take pictures and on top of that, there was a man driving around in a golf cart honking at people who crossed the yellow tapes. Being the rebel that I am, I crossed a few tapes and had my lovely friends capture some photos without being caught. The drive to Carlsbad took 2.5 hours and the drive back home took 2 hours which in total was 4.5 hours. I’m not sure if the view was worth the long drive because we spent more time in the car than the actual flower field. But, our quality time together was definitely priceless. Thanks so much for driving, Regina! I had a planned birthday dinner date with Tracy that night, but there was an unexpected surprise waiting for me instead… Tune in next week to find out more!
