Açaí (ah-sigh-ee) is known to be packed with tons of antioxidants and fiber. I love eating it for breakfast, lunch, or dinner! It’s so refreshing, filling, and nutritious. However, it’s quite expensive for a bowl or cup of açaí packed with a few fruits and granola. I usually substitute it with a smoothie bowl made with frozen blueberries and strawberries, which tastes just as good! You can also buy frozen packs of açaí berry at Costco which are pretty inexpensive. I bought a bag of 10 packets for an estimated price of $11. Two packets in the package can make one Açaí bowl or smoothie. Essentially, you’re paying around $11 for 5 açaí bowls! It’s extremely simple to make, but I’ll give you a simple breakdown of how I made mine!

Açaí Puree:

  • 2 Sambazon superfruit packs
  • 1/4 cup of Almond milk or any juice of your choice
  • 1/2 organic banana

Toppings:

  • 1/2 organic banana
  • Organic strawberries
  • Raspberries
  • Blueberries
  • Granola
  • Cacao nibs
  • Chia seeds

Directions:

  • Blend all ingredients with a blender. (obviously, right?) I use the Nutribullet.
  • Cut up all the fruits and bedazzle your bowl with them. I love decorating my açaí bowls (that’s my ultimate favorite step).
  • DEVOUR IT AND BE HAPPY!

I hope you guys try this at home! I know this recipe is super straight-forward and simple, but I wanted to blog about it anyways because of my devoted love for acaí bowls. This is my first time posting a recipe/food blog, so it’s a bit shabby, please forgive me. Have a good weekend everyone! Açaí next week! (I’ll see you next week).
